Android 12 introduces a slew of new aesthetic features, and the out-of-box experience is being upgraded to match. Google is giving the setup experience on Pixel phones a new coat of paint with Android 12 Beta 3.
A new setup experience in Android 12 Beta 3 provides the setup process on Pixel phones a largely aesthetic makeover. The experience will undoubtedly be modified for different Android OEMs, as it usually is, but this newest iteration establishes a good foundation for others to build upon.
So, what’s new? There are a few excellent adjustments in addition to the aesthetic update. With a long video on how to utilize the gestures, Google has put even more focus on teaching navigation movements. This section isn’t entirely new, although it appears to be more in-depth today than in prior editions.
Furthermore, Google has included a fun easter egg on the first page. The objects in the first image below travel across the screen, causing a very slight vibration when they strike the display’s edges. That’s just the latest example of Google praising the haptic experience it provided on the Pixel 4, so it might be a signal that the Pixel 6 will do the same.
